Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen said this on Wednesday. He said Narendra Modi has expressed interest in going to Tungipara. Work is underway on this.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Dhaka on March 26 on the occasion of Bangladesh’s Independence Day and the 50th anniversary of Bangladesh-India diplomatic relations. He will meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on March 27.

On India’s transit, the foreign minister said, “We have requested India for transit to go to Nepal and Bhutan and they (India) is considering this.”

“We wanted connectivity,” he said. We want connectivity with Nepal and Bhutan. Bangladesh-Bhutan-India-Nepal Motor Vehicles Agreement (BBIN-MVA) has been done and was stuck for Bhutan. Now we will open it as far as it is.
