Awami League presidium member and former home minister, Advocate Sahara Khatun has been admitted to the ICU of United Hospital in the capital.
On Friday morning, Sahara Khatun’s personal assistant Mujibur Rahman confirmed the matter.
He said she was admitted to the ICU around 11 am on Friday due to her poor physical condition. However, her coronavirus test came negative.
Earlier, 77 year old Sahara Khatun was admitted to the hospital on June 2 with various complications related to aging including fever and allergies.
Sahara Khatun is an MP elected from Dhaka-18 constituency for the last three terms. In 2008, when the grand alliance came to power, she was first made the Home Minister. Later she was sent to the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications.
