নরসিংদীর শিবপুরে বাসচাপায় মোটরসাইকেল আরোহী তিন তরুণ নিহত হয়েছেন। তারা একে অপরের বন্ধু ছিলেন বলে পরিবার ও স্থানীয়রা জানিয়েছে।
সোমবার (৯ জুন) রাত সাড়ে ১১টার দিকে শিবপুর উপজেলার ইটাখোলা-শিবপুর আঞ্চলিক সড়কের বান্দারদিয়া এলাকায় দুর্ঘটনাটি ঘটে।
নিহতরা হলেন—মাছিমপুর ইউনিয়নের মির্জাকান্দি এলাকার সাইফুল ইসলাম (২৫), অপু মিয়া (২০) ও আশিক মিয়া (২৩)। তারা তিনজনেই মোটরসাইকেলে করে নরসিংদী শহর থেকে বাড়ি ফিরছিলেন।
নিহতদের স্বজনরা জানিয়েছেন, সন্ধ্যায় বন্ধুদের সঙ্গে শহরে ঘুরতে যান তারা। রাত সাড়ে ১১টার দিকে ফেরার পথে বান্দারদিয়ায় বিপরীত দিক থেকে আসা একটি বাসের সঙ্গে তাদের মোটরসাইকেলের মুখোমুখি সংঘর্ষ হয়। বাসের ধাক্কায় মোটরসাইকেলটি দুমড়েমুচড়ে যায় এবং তিনজনই রাস্তায় ছিটকে পড়েন।
স্থানীয়রা আহত অবস্থায় তাদের উদ্ধার করে শিবপুর উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে নিয়ে গেলে কর্তব্যরত চিকিৎসক সাইফুল ও আশিককে মৃত ঘোষণা করেন। গুরুতর আহত অপুকে ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে নেওয়ার পথে তারও মৃত্যু হয়।
শিবপুর থানার উপপরিদর্শক (এসআই) অজয় বালা জানান, “বাসটি দুর্ঘটনার পরপরই ঘটনাস্থল ত্যাগ করে। নিহতদের পরিবারের পক্ষ থেকে লিখিত অভিযোগ পেলে আইনানুগ ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে।”

Three Friends Killed as Bus Hits Bike in Narsingdi
Three young men, all friends, were killed after a bus ran over their motorcycle in Narsingdi’s Shibpur upazila on Monday night.
The accident took place around 11:30pm in the Bandaradia area on the Itakhola–Shibpur regional road, said police.
The deceased were identified as Saiful Islam (25), son of late Jamal Uddin; Apu Mia (20), son of Babul Mia; and Ashiq Mia (23), son of Badu Mia — all residents of Mirzakandi village under the upazila’s Machimpur Union.
According to their families, the three had gone to Narsingdi town for an evening outing. They were returning home when a bus from the opposite direction rammed into their motorcycle, mangling the vehicle and throwing them onto the road with critical injuries.
Locals rushed them to Shibpur Upazila Health Complex, where doctors declared Saiful and Ashiq dead. Apu, who sustained severe injuries, was referred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, but died on the way, said police.
Confirming the incident, Sub-Inspector Ajay Bala of Shibpur Police Station said that legal steps will be taken if a written complaint is lodged by the families.
